在它出现的几千年里, 诗歌 has gone through staggering changes, 然而总是盘旋着回到源头:呼吸, 的声音, body, 和 the sacred. Students dip their toes in this vast river of human endeavor 和 explore traditional, 现代主义, 和 contemporary modes of 诗歌. Throughout the course, 他们草案, 修改, 和 polish their own poems, 在整个过程中给予彼此反馈. At the end of each semester, they turn in a portfolio of several 修改d poems.

At the root of all the disparate materials selected for this course is the authors’ desire to surprise their readers.
Writing Creative Non小说 is the difficult process of trying to capture the world in words. Sometimes it is the attempt to describe a place we have been or to remember a time in our lives. Most difficult of all, Hester Kaplan.
